Francis
Margaret Francis is the widow of the
American Abstract Expressionist Sam Francis,
and Ascot Studios are extremely proud to represent her in the
UK. Sam Francis was, without doubt, one of the foremost painters
of the 20th Century and his work now hangs in the Tate Gallery in London, the Museum of Modern Art in New York, and in the leading International Art Galleries
and Museums throughout the USA, Europe and Asia.
Margaret Francis received her Degree
in Fine Art from Winchester Art School in England and her Higher
Degree in Fine Art from the Chelsea School of Art in London.
Her paintings have been included in many prominent exhibitions
including the Young Contemporary Show at the Royal Academy of
Art in London, and The Oxford Museum. Francis' work has also
been shown at the Manny Silverman Gallery in Los Angeles and
The Bernard Jacobson Gallery in New York.
