Kevin
Haynes (born: 1949)
Kevin Haynes was born in the small
village of Waterhead,on the outskirts of Oldham. In his youth,
the area was dominated by cotton mills, which employed the majority
of the population. Kevin became an engineer, living and working
in the area. After semi-retiring, Kevin felt moved to record
his childhood memories, painting warm, unique pictures, that
capture the times of the Northern textile industry. Painting
originaly for his own pleasure, he quickly found an enthusiastic
audience for his work, and has had many exhibitions, often combining
with fellow artists, Peter Stanaway and Russel Howarth
